Zendesk HubSpot integration: which app, what syncs, cost (2026)

Short answer: Yes, Zendesk integrates with HubSpot natively, in three ways. Zendesk's own app puts ticket activity on HubSpot contact timelines. HubSpot's Data Sync app syncs users and organizations both ways and tickets one way. Zendesk's action flows can create or update HubSpot records. All need a paid Zendesk plan, and custom field mapping in Data Sync needs HubSpot Data Hub Starter or higher.

Which Zendesk HubSpot integration should you use?

The three native options solve different problems. The table sums up what each vendor's listing says.

Zendesk app (built by Zendesk) Data Sync (built by HubSpot) Action flows connector (built by Zendesk)
What it does Shows ticket creation and resolution on the HubSpot contact timeline Keeps contacts, companies and tickets matched between both tools Lets a Zendesk action flow create, update or look up HubSpot contacts, companies, deals and tickets
Direction Zendesk to HubSpot Users and organizations two-way; tickets one-way Zendesk acting on HubSpot
Zendesk plan Suite Team, Growth, Professional or Enterprise Suite Team, Growth or Professional Any Suite plan, or Support Team, Professional or Enterprise
Source HubSpot listing HubSpot listing Zendesk listing
Rating on HubSpot's marketplace 2.2 from 39 ratings 2.7 from 25 ratings No ratings yet

A simple rule: if sales just needs to see that a customer has open tickets, use the Zendesk app. If you need the same contact and company data in both tools, use Data Sync. If you want support events to change HubSpot records, use action flows.

What does the Zendesk-built app sync?

It sends ticket activity to HubSpot. Per its listing, ticket creation and resolution show up on the HubSpot contact timeline. If a ticket requester doesn't match a HubSpot contact, the app creates one.

It works on tickets and contacts only. Reviewers on the listing say it is limited in what it passes through and that they want tickets linked to objects other than contacts. Note that it needs a Zendesk Suite plan; the cheaper Support Team plan is not on its list.

What does HubSpot Data Sync for Zendesk sync?

According to the Data Sync listing:

HubSpot's Data Sync help article adds the timing. After the first sync, records update within 10 minutes of a change. By default only contacts with a valid email address sync, and saving changes to a sync restarts the initial sync.

How do you set up HubSpot Data Sync with Zendesk?

You need Super Admin or App Marketplace permission in HubSpot. Then, per HubSpot's help article:

  1. Connect Zendesk from the HubSpot App Marketplace and sign in with your Zendesk subdomain.
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps, select Zendesk and click Set up your sync.
  3. Pick the Zendesk object and the matching HubSpot object (for example, users and contacts).
  4. Choose the direction: two-way, HubSpot only, or Zendesk only. Set which app wins if the same field changes in both.
  5. Review the field mappings. Use Generate mappings for suggestions.
  6. Add filters if you only want some records, then click Save and sync.

Filters only limit the first sync. Records that already synced keep syncing.

How do Zendesk action flows work with HubSpot?

Zendesk's HubSpot connector adds HubSpot steps to action flows. Available actions include create, update and look up for contacts, companies, deals and tickets, plus look up user.

To connect it, go to Admin Center > Apps and integrations > Actions > Action flows, open a flow, choose HubSpot under External actions and sign in. The listing calls it a free integration built by Zendesk. Its details panel also shows "Guide Professional or above", which doesn't match its requirements list, so confirm with Zendesk before you plan around it.

How much does a Zendesk HubSpot setup cost?

Prices are list price, billed yearly, October 2026.

Tool Plan Price
Zendesk Suite Team $55 per agent a month
Zendesk Suite Professional $115 per agent a month
HubSpot Sales Hub Starter $20 per seat a month (new customers are currently offered $7)
HubSpot Data Hub Starter $20 per seat a month list (promo pricing for new customers)

The Data Hub line only matters if you need custom field mappings. Default mappings work on any HubSpot plan. You can model your own seat counts with the Zendesk cost calculator.

What about Zapier or Make?

They help when you need a specific trigger the native apps don't cover. Zapier has HubSpot + Zendesk templates, such as adding new Zendesk users as HubSpot contacts. Make has a HubSpot CRM and Zendesk connector.

Tool Plan Price What you get
Zapier Free $0 100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
Zapier Professional $19.99 a month, billed yearly 750 tasks a month
Zapier Team $69 a month, billed yearly 2,000 tasks a month, 25 users
Make Free $0 1,000 credits a month

Make's paid plans are priced by credit volume; check the live page. For plain contact and company matching, Data Sync is usually the better choice, because it is built for two-way sync and handles conflicts.

When one system makes more sense

If your support and sales teams are small and spend real time keeping two customer records in line, the sync is a symptom. One system with one customer record, tickets and deals together removes the drift instead of managing it.

That is what we build at FitMySaaS for teams of 10 to 40, but for many teams the native Data Sync is enough. The Zendesk alternatives page compares the options.

Questions

Does the Zendesk HubSpot integration sync tickets both ways?

No. HubSpot's Data Sync syncs tickets one way only, and archived tickets don't sync. Zendesk's own app sends ticket activity to HubSpot contact timelines, not back.

Does it work on Zendesk Support Team?

Zendesk's app and HubSpot Data Sync both list Suite plans only. Zendesk's action flows connector lists Support Team as supported.

Do I need a paid HubSpot plan?

HubSpot says Data Sync is offered on all HubSpot products and plans, with default mappings. Custom field mappings need a paid Data Hub plan, Starter or higher.

How fast does HubSpot Data Sync update?

HubSpot says records sync within 10 minutes of a change after the first sync. Very large first syncs can take days.
